Port of Manila: Typhoon Yutu May Impact 32 Container Vessels

Typhoon Yutu, a Category 3 storm and with sustained winds of 106 mph and gusts up to 130 mph, continues to weaken as it approaches the Philippines on Luzon’s east coast. The storm is expected to come ashore late Monday through Tuesday (October 29-30). The northern Philippines is bracing for heavy rains, floods, storm surges, and landslides as Yutu strikes. Vessels that are scheduled to berth at the Port of Manila over the next few days may be affected. We are monitoring the situation and the impact on the schedules of vessels heading to the ports.
