On March 15, port workers started to strike at Grangemouth, Scotland's largest container port and the United Kingdom’s largest feeder port, against pay and roster changes. The Gulf Agency Company (GAC) reported that the industrial action is initially planned for two weeks. There will be no shipside activity in the port’s container terminal. For landside operations, containers currently in the terminal will be allowed to be picked up.
We are monitoring the situation and its impact on the schedules of vessels heading to the container port. The following four container vessels with an original estimated time of arrival on March 15 - 22 may be affected by the strikes:
