On November 2, seafarers, including pilots and tugs, started a two-day strike at the Greek Port of Piraeus. The strike was extended by another 48 hours through November 5.
We are monitoring the situation and impact on the schedules of container vessels heading to the port. We identified 52 vessels that were scheduled to arrive between November 1 and 4, and have not been able to enter the port through November 5. We observed that vessels started to enter the port on November 6, but it may take time to clear the backlog.
